What Do Clients Look for in Freelance Writers?

Posted: 27 Jul 2010 08:38 PM PDT

At JRL Solutions we have been freelance writing long enough to have figured out for the most part what clients seek in writing projects they outsource. There are a few things that a client requires when they are looking for a solo writer for a small project or for a group of writers for the larger batch orders. In a freelance writer in general, a client will expect:

  • Dependability
  • Correct Grammar and Spelling
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Availability
  • Consistency in writing quality
  • Willingness to revise incorrect work

Although these are things that will be expected of a solo or a group project, there are also some specific things that clients may look for in large batch orders that are handled by freelance writing companies:

  • Exceptional quality writing
  • Proofreading services
  • Immediate revision availability
  • Samples of work from any writers allowed or chosen for their project
  • Blogging/Posting Services
  • Keyword Research and Analysis
  • Management who can control the quality, speed and guidelines of any work produced by their team
  • One on one communications with group or business owner
  • Marketing Knowledge

We at JRL Solutions have perfected the communication standards between clients and writers. If you would like to choose your writer and work one on one with them outside of JRL and pay them per agreement between the two parties that is up to you! If you would like to have JRL Solutions offer their writing management teams solutions to proofreading, revisions and making sure the client gets the exact quality they desire in their content.
