I know the story: you've heard your friends' mouth about how their online marketing stints have made them triple times richer by just sitting in front on the computer while munching on their favorite nachos –with their pajamas on. You were lured and said "hey, why not?" So you quit your day time job, wore your jammies like what everybody else did, and started to travel the road to online marketing. And then, after about a mile or two, you see yourself trapped in a dead end. What happens now? The thing is; online marketing isn't as easy as it may sound (coming from your friends, that is). There are a lot of things that you need to consider, and when you fail to follow the necessary action, you might fall on the pit of false advertising. If it is your first time and clueless on how and where to start; here's something to help gear up your engine >First of all, you have to know that the main objective of online marketing is website visibility through climbing up the ladders going to the top of huge search engines such as Google. Now, to do this, you of course need to have a website. You have to come up with a website that will contain the products and/or services that you want to sell. You need to build a website that is not only pleasing to the eye, but as well as stimulating to the brain. This simply means; design and content should come together. Say you already have a website, what you need to do in order to maximize your website visibility is to offer something that the online visitors would be interested in. You need to fill your website with contents that are compelling, interesting and useful. Obviously, your content must have an interesting subject, a good style of writing, and proper English grammar. It is also important to consider proper content optimization. This simply means, your content must have the right keywords that would rank well in the search engines. Keywords are words or phrase that frequently typed in by the online visitors in the search box. When your content is properly optimized, then Google will give you the rank that you deserve. Lastly, in order to drive traffic (online visitors) into your website, you need to build links through link exchange, social bookmarking and article submission. This is a type of campaign where you'd simply send out links to many different places on the Net, where the online visitors can see and click through your website; every click accounts for traffic. In other words, the more people will click through your website, the higher the volume of website traffic will be. |
