Addiction to anything is a curse for human being as it indicates negative things.
 What about Alcohol addiction?
 Alcohol is actually a depressant and if your blood has too much alcohol, the manner can be called legal drunkenness. Alcohol reduces attention and slows reaction's speed. Alcohol can be addictive, and the state of addiction to Alcohol is known as Alcoholism or merely Alcohol addiction. When Alcohol enters your body system, it is absorbed by the stomach, flows into the bloodstream and then it goes through the tissues. The effects of Alcohol depends on a variety of factors, including a person's size, weight, age, and sex, as well as the amount of food and the volume of alcohol consumed.
 The effects of Alcohol addiction can be categorized into two types – long-term or short-term. Some immediate effects of alcohol intake include dizziness and talkativeness, slurred speech, disturbed sleep, nausea, and vomiting. On the other hand, excessive alcohol intake can lead to severe anxiety, tremors, hallucinations and convulsions. Long-term effects of consuming large quantities of alcohol, especially when combined with poor nutrition, can lead to permanent damage to vital organs such as the brain and liver.
 Nowadays, Alcohol addiction has come to an alarming rate. In America, more youths are getting involved with the addiction where over 85% of South Australian school students (aged 12-17) have tried Alcohol. Research shows that lackadaisical alcohol consumption results in significant economic and social costs to South Australian communities. In Asia, the Alcoholism rate is getting higher and higher as the media continuously create advertisements that lure the public to actually take alcohol to be considered as a "socialite".
 What should be done?
 Well, global awareness should be promoted to cut the rate of Alcohol Addiction worldwide. In addition to this, international social organizations should give more emphasis on it considering that it is  often associated to street accidents.
