Writing Content Articles From Your Heart Posted: 16 Jan 2012 06:27 PM PST Writing content can make you a superhero or a villain. The beauty of the situation is that the choice is up to you. Your topic for the day might be credit loans. Now, you have a few options. You can write about how useful these loans are for getting lots of cash fast. You can add to the immense body of crappy articles out there and talk about how anyone can get these loans, even with bad credit. Thousands of people are out there searching for easy money, and they might see your article or the site you are promoting and figure that a credit loan is a fabulous idea. Or, you can talk about the importance of stepping back and assessing the need for that type of loan. You can tell the readers, assuming there are any, that it would be a good idea to think about the interest rate over time rather than the immediate desire for money. You can talk about how to internally examine the difference between needs and wants, and how this plays into the choice of taking out a bad credit loan or not. These are choices that we have to make every day. Depending on the clients, it may be harder to slide the superhero juice into the equation, but it can always be done. Always. Even if you just slide in a sentence about how to properly make a decision, rather than playing off of people’s weaknesses. You might read this and figure that yeah, you can make an article that is fit for placement in a holy book, but what does it matter? All you are doing is building backlinks and popularity for a site that has nothing to do with your article. Your little article ends up on an obscure blog and never gets seen by human eyes. The site that you are linking to gets to the top of the charts and is full of the blood-sucking jargon that convinces people to do silly things because they are waiting for an excuse to do so. And you are right. Your article may never get seen. The nasty site may still get to the top of the charts. People may still take out bad credit loans just to buy a flat screen TV and then end up in a cycle of debt when they realize the interest wasn’t a joke. But that’s not your problem. If you don’t write the articles, someone else will. If people want to find a bad credit loan, they are going to. Even if your words are brilliant, they will most likely gloss right over them in favor of what they want to hear. The reason you can and should write from your heart and insert real wisdom into your articles is that it is good for you to do so. You. Not the reader, not the client, but you. If you put real thought into the articles you write, even about topics that turn your stomach, you are going to see that they not only sound better, but they come out easier. It is more effortless. Most importantly, it allows you to examine your own inclinations and introspective thoughts about what is right and wrong. Then when you go to the grocery store, you are more likely to feel satisfied with your work for the day. You are more likely to be kind to the people you interact with. You will be less likely to feel like you wasted your time. Time is precious. This moment never comes back. Each moment that passes is one moment less of your life, no matter how long your life is going to be. Why waste them writing crappy content? Write from your heart, no matter what the topic is. Make yourself a superhero, even if no one else notices. It will feel better, and that feeling will pour into the rest of your life. You’ll see. |
