Writing content That Ranks Well on Google

Posted: 29 Jul 2009 02:14 PM PDT

Once upon a time, long long ago, there was something called SEO copywriting and there were people called SEO copywriters who appeared to have honed supernatural word skills and they could place just the right keywords in just the right places and measures, and even in the densities that were just right for magical top rankings on the any search engine you could think of. And that's all you needed… or at least that's what was (and still is) publicized all over

There is no doubt that keywords still matter, even more so in titles. Search engines by and large choose to zero in on the words the masses are looking for. But as SEO pro Josh Caldon will tell you, "measurements like keyword density are useless, although general frequency can help rankings."

So here's the deal… most of what limits the ranking status of any particular page is due to what goes on off the page, in the form of links from other websites. Developing those links naturally has become the hardestmost hardest piece of SEO, which is why 2006 saw the powerful growth of social media marketing as a way to draw links with compelling content.

That's why any authentic SEO copywriter is simply a writer who has a bent for tuning in to the wants and desires of the target audience. And due to the pursuit of links, those wants and wants have to be nailed well before you'll ever show in the search engines.

As I've written, the same emotional forces that impress us to buy can also cause us to link, bookmark, and Digg. The context is unlike, as are the subtleties, but it's still a thing of offering compelling benefits in the form of content.

"Ask yourself what creates value for your users," says Google. As those brainy engineers continue to diligently make improved algorithms, combined with people-powered social media tagging and blog-driven links, copywriters with a genius for prompting link response and conversions will become vital members of any search engine marketing effort.

To me, optimization (at least of the white hat type) is the page tweaking that can be accomplished after you've managed to draw a healthy measure of quality links that demonstrate the value of the content. Small things can make a big difference when you're trying to move from the third page of the Google results to the first, or from position 8 to 4,3, 2 or 1.

Of course the critical ingredients of a search-friendly site should be in place. But beyond that, tweaking a page for higher rankings before you've determined that the content is persuasive to people is a little like putting on your prom dress to stay home alone and watch ‘Desperate Housewives’.

Effective Content Writing

Posted: 29 Jul 2009 06:11 AM PDT

Search Engine Optimization is highly affiliated with effective content writing. Contents are actually the base of a website on which the entire website depends.

Whenever a visitor visits a site, he evaluates the website specifically with the information he find there in terms of articles. The articles are actually divided among some specific levels i.e. A, B and C level articles. 'A' level articles are regarded as high quality contents and are written for site pages as site articles and press releases for latest news. 'B' level articles contain articles written for blogs, and reviews, and 'C' level contents include articles written for submission, short review of site for directory submission and reference articles.

There is a great role of effective contents to increase the ranking of a website in all major search engines. Thus, content writing involves special attention to write different types of articles. The articles should be original, precise and fact based, language should be high and free from all grammatical errors. Sentence should be precise and highly promotional words should be avoided.

With effective content writing, you can increase the page ranking of your site up to a desired level. Best contents can make your site best among all.

Customize your Twitter Page for Maximum Promotion

Posted: 29 Jul 2009 02:11 PM PDT

Let's face it. Saying "I'm on Twitter" is not just a trend in Internet marketing. It is a new way of exchanging business cards. By providing a link to your Twitter account, you are inviting visitors to view your daily activities, thoughts on current events, random musings and who you think they should follow on Fridays. If you were to post your Twitter site on your Web site or business card (i.e. www.twitter.com/SpiderWriters), what image does your Twitter page give to your site visitors? Just as your company's Web page should have an individual style that reflects your professionalism and goals, so should your Twitter page.

Target Your Tourism Marketing Toward Destination Weddings

Posted: 29 Jul 2009 02:09 PM PDT

In a tough economy, few businesses have the assurance that they will stay afloat. One industry, though, might be recession proof: the wedding industry. Couples spend more than $20,000 for a wedding on average, and most spend 50% more than their intended budget. Before brides start crunching the numbers for flowers, cakes, dresses, bows and candlesticks, they first have to decide on the venue. Although most brides look to local churches and reception halls, an estimated 272,000 weddings a year are destination weddings. If the bride chooses to go this route, narrowing down where she wants to get married can be a simple as a quick Google search. How does your CVB or tourism bureau promote itself to grab her attention?

Inspecting each item you pack in FAA regulated bags, walking through lines of security with your shoes off, only to wait even more in the terminal before boarding a stuffy plane with tiny seats isn't something you look forward to when you think of a vacation. In addition, bad experiences on board can set the mood for the rest of the trip, and let's not even think about what you'll do if your baggage gets misplaced. Consider traveling by rail.
